Named for French explorer René-Robert Cavelier, Sieur de La Salle, LaSalle’s rich history finds its beginnings in the mid-1700s, when settlers established a mission as the incorporated town of Sandwich. In 1991, LaSalle’s residents defined themselves as a town of their own, and the culture, community and population have only boomed since!

The oldest French settlement in southwestern Ontario, LaSalle’s claims to fame include several lush parks and hiking trails, conservation lands and June’s annual Strawberry Festival.
